We have become close friends with the Hofferts over the past several years, but have never taken their family’s photos. Growing up, I loved photographing my friends. It was something I did because I loved taking pictures, but as an adult it has become so much more than that, it has become a calling. In this season of life, we aren’t able to go on missions trips to Africa or serve in soup kitchens, but God has given us the opportunity to serve those who do. We are humbled every day by the goodness that is poured out on us and in our community because of those who dedicate their lives in the service of others in Jesus’ name. We are honored to not only meet these people, but call them our brothers and sisters. The moments we share with them are precious and we can’t think of a better way to say thank you and we love you than to photograph them in God’s incredible creation. While it is a very small token, we believe it is a gift that will keep on giving as the years pass and the seasons change. Family is a gift and children are a blessing we so often take for granted. May these photographs be a constant reminder of how God has sustained you through the years and blessed you and those around you through HIS never ending love. And may you continue to be salt and light in the communities in which you serve.
