Jake and Lianne tied the knot this past Saturday at United Methodist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. When I first met Lianne, I knew that her wedding was going to be everything I dream of photographing: vintage styling, old cards, epically long veils, classic romantic pieces, and an untraditional bride and groom to match. Simply, it rocked! The first sunny weekend in 2013 served as the backdrop for the beginning of their life together as husband and wife. A simple exchange of rings and a message of friendship united these two in front of friends and family. The flower girl and ring bearer stole the show with their innocent charm and adorable smiles. Awaiting their departure from the church, the bride and groom- with their bridal party- were met with three Model A Fords ready to take them to the South Wood County Historical Museum. Downton Abbey served as inspiration for their afternoon formals. We had some fun! Prom had nothing on this bunch. Siblings without inhibitions always make the best of bridesmaids and groomsmen. A nesting mother mallard stood guard over her nest as guests entered the Hotel Mead and Conference Center. Pink Lemonade and bruschetta were among the cocktail hour delights enjoyed by guests. (they were delicious as was the entire meal! A serious perk of the trade.) Frank Sinatra filled the Hotel Mead’s Riverside Ballroom during a heartfelt father-daughter dance. Towards the end of the night, J&L changed into their evening attire, a tradition my grandparents shared as they escaped off to their honeymoon. Guests left well-wishes and photo-booth images as momentos of a beautiful day with words of encouragement. I hope these photographs serve as a wonderful reminder of the day you became one!
