Their day was suppose to be filled with rain and thunderstorms; instead it was filled with warm sunshine, happy tears, love, & karoke. Alea invested countless hours creating her shoes, which were her something blue. Blue steps near the church served as a well shaded place to photograph their brightly colored bouquets and boutonnieres. Katie and I were able to be in two different locations while both the groomsmen and bridesmaids were getting ready. David and Alea chose to not see each other before the wedding, which makes the true first look all the more special. Surrounded by close friends and family, David and Alea were united in Holy Matrimony this past Saturday at St. Peters’s Catholic Church in Stevens Point, WI. Iverson Park served as a midway between the church and their reception at Pacawa Park in Plover, WI.

These two are very much still infatuated with each other and those in their presence were moved by their affection and commitment to one another. It is hard not to get swept up in the emotion of a wedding day and simply forget to photograph all the special moments happening around you. Intimate and humorous speeches were a delicate contrast to their vibrant and emotional wedding ceremony. Guests were treated to an array of food options and entertainment at their open-air reception. A highlight of the early evening was most defiantly karaoke. Musical talent was evindent throughout their day. Surrounded by dear college friends and relatives, the bride and groom were center floor for their first dance and subsequent father & mother dances. A tradition we always like to capture on a wedding day.
