“The best foundation for a relationship to grow, flourish, and succeed is a deep-rooted friendship.”
Sam and Sarah’s charming love story started with them being friends first, eventually turning into lovers. Theirs was a beautiful friendship forged by time and distance that bloomed into a lifetime commitment of marriage. They celebrated their union at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church which was followed by the reception at the Bailiwick.
Big thanks to their matchmakers Dave and Sarah’s sister, Rebekah, they crossed paths and that exchange of simple ‘hi’ became ‘I do’. Back in 2015, Sam finally summed up his courage and talked to Sarah. Since then, they have become good friends. But one of them needs to break away from the friendzone, right?
One good thing that the pandemic gave them was the chance to be together again after several years of being away from each other as friends. The Broadway Theatre became an important part of their lives during the pandemic. Beautiful memories were made together. As they spend more time together, Sam and Sarah become closer than ever. Six years after they first met, Sam finally proposed through a puzzle of himself asking Sarah to marry him. Sam sure has his special way of asking her hand for marriage. Who would have thought that COVID would be such a blessing in disguise for these lovers?
It was a solemn wedding ceremony attended by their loved ones. During the processional march, Sarah walks down the aisle in her unique wedding gown, styled and altered by Sarah’s close friend. Her bridesmaids were also wearing stylish gowns from Modayladans. Sam and his groomsmen looked sharp-looking in their well-fitted suits from Men’s Wearhouse. Their wedding ensemble was a parade of evergreen, white and black, giving their wedding a sophisticated and timeless feel.
Bailiwick Venue offered a gorgeous wedding reception space for this couple. This spot at Medford is one of the favorite spots for wedding venues around Wisconsin. The space was beautifully decorated making the wedding even more exceptional.
Sam and Sarah’s wedding was a product of a collaborative family effort. Sarah’s aunt took charge of all the flower arrangements. As for the wedding decorations, it was more of a DIY, self-decorating with a little bit of help from The Wedding Gallery. As a symbol of good luck for this newly-married couple, they had some Christmas ornaments which were handcrafted, and some burned snowflakes and trees made out of slices of wood. The couple shared that their wedding favors plus the overall winter Christmas theme were their favorite wedding details.
The guests were treated to a delicious spread of food from BS Bar and Catering. As for the desserts, family members took charge of the baking. Such love and teamwork from the couple’s families for their special day.
After the merriment of their wedding, Sam and Sarah look forward to a lifetime of shared adventures, movie-watching together, coffee time, and outdoor walks. Most importantly, they also look forward to further strengthening their faith in Christ together, forever.
