Are you wondering how this couple, who got married at the Holy Family Catholic Church, met? Unlike any feel-good movie where romance took place at first glance, Eliza and John’s story was different. Their story was far from love at first sight, not even after a few acquaintances. Just like a good cup of coffee, it took some time for their love to brew.
They met in 2017 when John took the job as the caretaker of Eliza’s family-owned cabin. They’ve seen each other but never romantically linked together. It was 3 years later, finally a spark between them! This was after several interactions and some quality time together. They started making memories together at the cabin, around the swamp, and together with their black labrador – Leda. After 2 years of dating, John, at last, asked Eliza to spend the rest of their lives together.
Eliza and John chose a solemn and classic Catholic wedding for their ceremony and a cool cabin lodge for their reception. Their intimate wedding ceremony was attended by 120 guests composed of their close family members and chosen friends. The couple also decided to have their closest family members be the entourage. The maid of honor was Eliza’s twin sister and the bridesmaid was her older sister. John, on the other hand, chose his father to be his best man.
Weddings symbolize the union of two families bound together. And to celebrate this union, John gave Eliza his grandmother’s wedding ring for her to wear forever. Eliza was wearing a white wedding gown complemented by an elegant wedding veil and a bouquet of natural flowers. John looked dashing as well in his black suit with a black necktie. The wedding photos at the church look stunning. The combination of the bride’s white gown, and the groom’s black suit goes perfectly well with the brown backdrop of the church.
The reception was held at Coons Franklin Lodge – an outdoor cabin lodge showcasing tranquility and natural beauty. By sunset, the wedding reception was lit with yellow lights, making the place even more romantic and beautifully lit. During the reception, the wedding guests were treated to a beautiful ambiance of the calm lake across the huge windows of the reception area.
The calm lake, tall trees, manicured lawn, and lovely wooden cottage where a picture of a perfect rustic wedding reception setting. The guests enjoyed themselves in the informal and more laid-back atmosphere. The ambiance was a great mixture of nature’s beauty and a homey environment. Included in the amenities are cozy fireplaces where the guests could stay warm. The screened-in porches are for those wanting to look out at the stars at night.
Their guests enjoyed the beautiful view of Trout Lake. This also served as the perfect spot for some boat ride wedding photos. There are also spectacular nature trails around the spot for an outdoor shoot. The setting sun against the lake made it possible for our team to capture some gorgeous silhouette photos of the couple. What a beautiful place for a wedding reception.
