Finding someone you are ready to commit and spend the rest of your life with is such a blessing. For Kiara and Carter, their romantic journey took years of building that strong foundation. The couple was looking forward to exchanging their vows in front of their family and friends as they embarked on a forever commitment. Kiara, in her elegant white gown designed by Martin Thornburg was beaming in radiance as she walked down the aisle of the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church. This wedding was such a celebration of new experiences and adventures they both are looking forward to including chasing little Kiara’s and Carter running around.
A little backstory of how these lovely couples met. Kiara and Carter went to the same university during their undergraduate years. They were already seeing each other in passing in a few classes at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. But these two never really got a chance to really know each other deeply. Thanks to a volleyball championship match, cupid finally casted that magical spell and started their romantic relationship.
Fast forward a few years later, Carter realized that Kiara was the perfect match for him. He carefully planned out a proposal for a camping trip together with Kiara’s sister and her husband at Rock Island in Door County, Wisconsin. Kiara was clueless that Carter would be proposing after that awesome day hike. Carter, on bended knees, finally asked for Kiara’s hands. The proposal was made with a beach setting in the background. Their engagement day was capped off by a lovely sunset over Lake Michigan.
After the engagement, these lovebirds started planning for their church wedding. Kiara and Carter had so many memories together that’s why they made sure to pen one another with romantic notes on their wedding date. They have exchanged notes before the first look. Kiara and Carter both wanted their wedding celebration to be memorable for everyone. There was a table especially accentuated by wedding photos of their parents and grandparents. It was decorated with candles, leaves, and white roses. This table served as an excellent conversation starter for the wedding guests.
Another special wedding design was the arch – a byproduct of love and teamwork. This floral arch was built by Kiara and Carter together with Kiara’s father, her cousin Pooch, and Carter’s father. It was then decorated by Fawn at Inspired by Nature. These mementos were reminders of how important weddings are and why they should be celebrated. After the church wedding, the 260 guests made their way to the reception area at the Rothschild Pavilion.
The huge venue was decorated with a white cloth draped on the ceiling. The color commendation was simple and clean. It was a mixture of green, white, natural wood color and cobblestone for the overall ambiance. There was also a huge, eye-catching disco ball hanging on the ceiling. This made the after party event even more lively.
The huge windows in the reception area gave some natural light. It also made the area even more spacious and relaxed. Each table setting was decorated by some candles adorned with lovely green leaves.
Our team also took the chance to take some wedding shots outside. The setting sun gave us the perfect shots making Kiara and Carter’s wedding shoot even more romantic. The green leaves, tall trees, and huge boulders served as the background for the couple and group shots. These nature shots reflect the couple’s interests. Both of them are lovers of nature and outdoor adventure.
