Lucky was I to have been part of Emiliee & Joshua’s wedding vow renewal at Memorial Union two years after they exchanged their I-dos. June 12, 2020, it was a memorable part for us as I get to witness these lovely couples express their love and enter married life. And here we are two years after documenting how strong their love remained steadfast and their faith burning.
From the intimate seaport backdrop of Fan Pier Park where they first got married to the historic Wisconsin building wedding, these love birds are such a pleasure to work with. The outdoor wedding gave me a huge space to play around with. The perfectly aligned yachts docked at the port provided a beautiful backdrop.
The setting sun and the beautifully manicured plants around the Memorial Union building gave us a romantic setting. The showcase of rich architectural designs in the background combined well with the couple’s sweet moments captured on camera.
Emilee looked simple yet classy in her white wedding gown complemented by the elegant earrings, both from BHLDN. She looked so relaxed and carefree, which suits well the calm water of the lake. Joshua looked so at ease too in his suit from Men’s Warehouse. He opted to only wear his white sleeves during the shots at the lake. The beautiful bride was holding a bouquet of white roses designed by Blooms by Brandi. The table setting at the reception area was also highlighted by these white roses.
Emilee and Joshua made sure that their 90 guests enjoyed themselves at the event. The Memorial Union Caterer was in charge of the sumptuous feast and the desserts. The guests got to take home any dessert they wanted from the bar.
Overall, the wedding was such a wonderful event and a true inspiration for young couples out there. At the end of the day, love is meant to be celebrated and I am fortunate enough to follow this couple’s journey.
